Developing Full Potential through Play & Learning

Updated 24th March 2020

As we negotiate these changing times, I would like to inform you of Play Learn Bloom's COVID-19 strategy so that you can make informed decisions for the well-being of your family.

As per the statement from Federal Health Minister, Greg Hunt, Play Learn Bloom will continue seeing clients face to face, until advised not to. Currently, as long as the children and parents are well and are not showing any symptoms we are currently still providing services.  Our treatment room is large enough to cater for a child, their parent and the therapist without concern for the social distancing rule. However, please acknowledge the risk there is by attending a setting that many clients attend.

However, we require you to cancel your appointment if:

1. If you or your children have fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat or flu-like symptoms.

2. If you have been in close contact with a confirmed or suspected COVID-19 case or

3.You have been overseas in the last 14 days

However, if you are concerned I understand your need to self-isolate and there are no cancellation fees, please just let me know with as much notice as possible. Telehealth options will be explore but may not always be practical. Please let me know if this is something you would like to consider.

We are taking these extra precautions as well:

✅ Ensuring we are maintaining optimal hygiene standards, frequent handwashing and sanitising, disinfecting door handles, desks, office equipment
✅ More frequent disinfection of patient contact surfaces in the treatment room

✅ More stringent cleaning and disinfecting of toys and resources
✋We will not be doing High-Fives, handshakes and hugs as greetings or encouragement

✅ We will be trying to maintain social distancing, however as we know children do not always understand this, and at times manual handling may be required in sessions.
🧻 We will be encouraging hand washing with soap and water on entry
✅ We are committed to supporting public health authorities so if we have confirmed cases in our premises, we will be alerting public health authorities and taking responsible steps.

❓ If you have any concerns, would like something wiped down, or would like to discuss how we are proactively dealing with the outbreak please just ask. Your health and well-being is our main priority.

Play Learn Bloom will also stop clinic sessions if Natalie becomes unwell or if someone in her family does, or if her children’s school becomes quarantined.
